House of Friendship

House of Friendship can connect you with a wide range of community resources that help families living on low income, whether it is after-school programming, community support groups, food or help to cover costs of programs like camp. House of Friendship also offers addiction services, supportive housing and shelter, emergency food hampers and other community supports throughout Waterloo Region.

  • The Family Outreach Program is a community-based program created to prevent and reduce child poverty throughout Waterloo Region. Found in multiple locations, Family Outreach Workers support parents to meet their families’ basic needs by talking about goals, connecting them with resources and providing direct supports.   • Community Centre programs provide encouragement and neighbourhood connections to community members, with support from partners.
