Who we are

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and refugees
of South Sudanese origin living in Waterloo Region and Wellington, Ontario

Our Purpose

Unity: Instill and promote a spirit of togetherness in the South Sudanese community in the KW area and elsewhere

Immigration: Assist and facilitate the settlement and integration of South Sudanese newcomers into Canadian society, and ensure access to family unification through Immigration and Citizenship Canada

Awareness: Educate the broader community about our culture and people in order to influence public opinion and as a basis for advocacy

Autonomy: Promote self-reliance, enterprise, and independence for our members

Connection: Provide opportunities for friendly, recreational social activities for our members

Culture: Encourage the diverse cultural heritage of South Sudanese peoples both here and internationally, including supporting the teaching and use of South Sudanese languages

Materials: Provide the necessary equipment to support the above work
